My product journey begins in Marine Corps Aviation, where I unknowingly developed my earliest skills in building products. Marine aviation runs on processes, as mission readiness requires highly repetitive maintenance tasks that need to be as intuitive and efficient as possible.
During my service, I was part of a process improvement team that made efficiency our mission. Using data, user interviews, and various other methods we identified friction and opportunities for improvement.
We’d then collaborate with unit leadership on developing and implementing process solutions that made aviation maintenance smoother and more impactful.
It wasn’t until I was a student at Yale University, that I put together how useful this experience was to building products. I put it to the test when I launched my own startup: WarCalm, a mental health app for the military community.
While the startup didn’t exactly work out, I took the opportunity combine my military experience with the startup resources my university offered, learning Figma and the basics of coding. I’d go onto use these combined skills to create AR products at Yahoo and self-driving vehicle experiences at Plus.
Now, I operate Atreid: Digital Product Solutions I specialize in providing early stage-startups with everything their product needs, from branding to UX/UI design & development.
Aside from building products, I love cooking, lifting, nerding, and spending time with my partner and our two dogs!
